Parcel tracking not updating? What to do

The status has been stuck with no new scans.

  1. Picked up
  2. In transit
  3. Arrived at delivery branch
  4. Out for delivery
  5. Delivered

What it means

The parcel hasn't been scanned for longer than usual. It may be on a long-haul truck, held up at a hub during a busy period, or have an issue that needs checking.

If the tracking still only shows a label was created and nothing was received, the seller may not have handed the parcel to the courier yet.

If the tracking number finds nothing at all, the courier may not have scanned it into their system yet — this usually takes no more than 1–2 days after the seller shares the number.

Real courier wording

Actual status messages from couriers that ETrackings classifies as this status. Thai couriers often report in Thai.

สร้างบิลยังไม่ได้รับเข้าระบบ พัสดุตกค้าง พัสดุติดปัญหา อยู่ระหว่างดำเนินการ เพื่อจัดส่งใหม่อีกครั้ง Shipment on hold Your parcel is on-hold

How long it usually takes

Within Thailand, 1–2 days without an update is still normal. After 3–5 days, contact the courier. Big sale campaigns and long holidays can make this slower.

What to do next

  1. Check that you picked the right courier and typed the tracking number correctly.
  2. If it's stuck at “label created”, ask the seller whether they've actually shipped it.
  3. If it's been stuck in transit for more than 3–5 days, contact the courier (numbers below) with your tracking number.
  4. Turn on notifications in the ETrackings app to hear the moment it starts moving again.

The courier can sort this out fastest. Have your tracking number ready before you call.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my tracking number show no information?

The courier may not have scanned the parcel in yet. Try again in a few hours to a day, and check that you've picked the right courier.

What does “parcel held” or “on hold” mean?

The parcel is stuck at a hub or branch beyond its normal cycle — for example an unclear address, a damaged label or an overloaded hub. Couriers usually resolve it themselves, but contact them if it drags on.

Can a parcel get lost?

It happens, though rarely. If there's been no movement for a long time, tell both the courier and the seller — the sender is the one who can file a claim with the courier.
