What Does Each Delivery Status Mean?

Explanation of every parcel delivery status you may encounter when tracking parcels, from pickup to successful delivery.

Main Delivery Statuses You Need to Know

When you track a parcel, you'll see various statuses indicating where your parcel is in the delivery process. Below are the key statuses with explanations.

Status Meaning What to Do
Picked Up The courier has collected the parcel from the sender and logged it into the system No action needed — your parcel has entered the delivery process
In System The parcel has arrived at the courier's sorting center and is being prepared for dispatch No action needed — this status is usually brief
In Transit The parcel is on the move, possibly traveling between sorting centers toward the destination No action needed — this status may last 1-3 days depending on distance
Arrived at Station The parcel has reached the delivery station near the recipient's address Be prepared — delivery will happen within 1 day
Out for Delivery A delivery agent is currently on the way to deliver your parcel Stay at the delivery address to receive your parcel
Delivered The parcel has been successfully delivered to the recipient Check the parcel condition
Failed Delivery Delivery was unsuccessful — reasons include no one home, wrong address, or unreachable phone number Contact the courier to reschedule delivery
Returned The parcel is being sent back to the sender after multiple failed delivery attempts Contact the seller to arrange re-shipment

Thailand Post-Specific Statuses

Thailand Post has some unique statuses that differ from private couriers.

  • Accepted at Post Office: The parcel has been dropped off at the post office and is waiting to be transported to the sorting center
  • Arrived at Customs: International parcels have reached customs for inspection
  • Available at Post Office: The parcel is waiting for pickup at the local post office (for cases where home delivery is not available)
  • Returned to Sender: Delivery failed and the parcel is being sent back to the origin

Flash Express-Specific Statuses

Flash Express uses a straightforward status system.

  • Sender has shipped: The sender has submitted the parcel to the system
  • Package in transit: The parcel is moving between distribution centers
  • Package arrived at station: The parcel has reached the destination branch
  • Package out for delivery: A delivery agent is delivering the parcel
  • Delivery successful: Successfully delivered
  • Delivery failed: Delivery was unsuccessful — automatic re-delivery will be scheduled

Statuses You Don't Need to Worry About

Many statuses are a normal part of the delivery process and don't require any concern.

  • In Transit: This status may not update for 1-2 days, especially for inter-province deliveries — this is normal
  • Arrived at Sorting Center: Parcels may pass through multiple sorting centers, with each one updating the status
  • Pending Delivery: The parcel has reached the destination branch and is queued for delivery

Statuses That Require Action

In some cases, you should contact the courier promptly.

  • "In Transit" status hasn't changed for more than 5 days
  • "Failed Delivery" has occurred more than 2 times
  • "Returned" status even though you never refused the parcel
  • No status update at all more than 24 hours after the parcel was shipped

Frequently Asked Questions

For domestic parcels, the 'In Transit' status typically shouldn't last more than 3-5 days. If it exceeds 5 days, you should contact the courier's hotline to investigate.

Yes, most couriers will attempt re-delivery 1-2 more times. If all attempts fail, the parcel will be returned to the sender.

Usually no action is needed. Customs will inspect and release the parcel automatically. However, if the parcel has been held for more than 7 days, you may need to contact customs or Thailand Post.

This may happen because the address was unclear, the phone number was unreachable, or delivery failed the maximum number of times. Contact the seller to arrange re-shipment and double-check your address and phone number.
